Coveyland Unveiling...

Here is the next portrait installment called "Coveyland." (Better picture soon...)

This time the client wanted to create a made up place called Coveyland, where they believe their friend often dazes off to in his head. They envision a place with lollipops, stairs to nowhere, a unicorn, Waldo, gadgets, toys, etc... (see the video for more information!)

Happy 40th...

This is a commissioned portrait I just finished for a birthday gag gift, similar to the Kramer portrait from Seinfeld and Will Farrell's portrait in Old School. It was a challenge to combine the references into the face the client wanted, but I think in the end it came together to get his character across.

Here's the rough sketch and color study, in the beginning stages, for a mural I am working on for Little Sprouts...seeing as winter is looming, it's going to have to wait until the spring...

The day care wanted to use characters from their sponsor's program "Between the Lions". The family is reading a book that is coming to life...

Roxbury Community College Mural

Finally, here are the pictures of the RCC mural that I did with the Mayor's Mural Crew in my fourth summer working with Gregg Bernstein and the crew, good luck with school! If you like it you should call the Mayor's office and tell them! Your feedback keeps programs like the Mayor's Mural Crew alive and able to provide jobs in the summer and the after school program for kids in the city of Boston going.

The mural depicts the land that RCC sits on as it transitioned from an apple orchard with the indigenous Roxbury Russet to the T and industrial buildings and to the college it is today. The large figure is Ed "Pop" Cooper who worked to better the Roxbury community and started many of the community gardens. Check out www.coopergarden.org.
